Upcoming Project: Armenia’s Public Journalism Club

In the past, HIP has trained teachers in Senegal, brought hope and dialogue to post-earthquake communities in Turkey, and hosted heroism summits from Paris to San Francisco. No matter where we go, the impact is the same. People start seeing themselves differently. They realize they can be the ones to step up, speak out, and make a difference when it matters most.

Now, we’ve been invited to bring our work to Armenia in partnership with the Public Journalism Club, an organization empowering youth to strengthen democratic civil society. Together, we’ll train educators, mental health professionals, and students, adapting our curriculum to Armenia’s unique cultural context. This program has the power to inspire a generation of Armenian youth to lead with empathy, ethical courage, and civic responsibility.

Here’s where you come in: this September, we’re running our first-ever fundraising campaign to raise $5,000 for the Armenia project. Every gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling your impact.

Senegal

Matt Winkler delivered a training in Senegal, in Cap Skirring. Over a number of days community leaders (mayor, department of education, and more) were introduced to HIP and its work.

Teachers across many schools were taught how to teach HIP lessons and then watched as Matt delivered them. Finally, more than 100 student leaders (academic and sport) were taught directly by Matt.

HIP Summit - Paris

HIP hosted its annual summit last year. Matt Langdon and Thomas Sartor met with colleagues from Brazil, Portugal, Ireland, Italy and Germany. They shared work done over the past year, as well as problem solving, and planning for the future.
